Here’s the thing about trauma: we don’t really know to what extent our lives will be impacted by adverse experiences. Trauma sustained over a period of time changes the brain and body at a molecular level. Despite how much negative experiences can change a person, engaging in the work involved in therapy can lead a person to begin healing themselves and become someone they can feel more accepting of..
Within my practice, I utilize a holistic approach in treating my clients. This means we engage in techniques that incorporate a person’s mind, where thoughts and memories are stored; we address the body where emotions and inflammation/pain can be stored, and spirit, which speaks to a person’s values, identity and personality.
My practice is primarily holistic, however, I do provide Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialetical Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Family Systems Therapy.
Our sessions will be done in a way to ensure comfortability. We may engage in a few mindfulness exercises, as well as discuss lifestyle behavioral patterns that may impact health.
Out-of-pocket sessions that are 45 minutes long are $110. Sessions that are 60 minutes are $125. Sliding scale is available and provided on a case-by-case basis.
I have a Master’s degree in Social Work, as well as a Master’s degree in Public Health. Additionally, I have a certification in trauma-informed therapy.
